My favorite vacation spot. I absolutely love casa de los Arcos. I have been there about 7 times. I want to go back every year. Susan and Dave are wonderful hosts. I tripped on the sidewalk down town and Susan called her dr for me. She took me for X-rays and I felt very comfortable getting the attention I needed. Yes I broke a bone in my foot. Susan couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to come back.Posted on Tripadvisor
Mya S29 May 2026Unforgettable oasis The photos of this listing do not do it justice enough! We were welcomed by the host herself (Susan). We were also welcomed with guacamole, chips + margaritas! Susan stopped and talked with us and answered many of our questions about the area and gave us her full attention and time. Further to this Susan sent us many links for all her recommendations from where to get money out, taxi and uber services recommendations, restaurants and activities + markets and more! Susan also kindly brought some groceries for us prior to our arrival (all she needed was a list of what we wanted) and we were able to reimburse her that night. The property itself is STUNNING. Situated right near the Romantica Zone with phenomenal views of the water and surrounds. Every sunset was unforgettable and the fountain and outdoor area made it a peaceful oasis. Further, we were able to keep our room cool and comfortable during the night to ensure good sleep. The entire property was a dream from the private area you book to the shared pool/spa and secret gardens. The housekeeper and grounds keeper were kind and very respectful, never entering into our area when we were at the property. I can not think of a single negative aspect to disclose. Like anywhere in the area, there are steps but this is to be expected! I could not recommend this property enough. Susan, David, Felipa, and Ismael are each individually one of a kind. All your needs are taken care of in a beautiful serene environment. We will not stay anywhere else when we are in Vallarta. Aaron A25 May 2026La Casita First time going on a vacation and coming home from it energized and relaxed, Casa De Los Arcos did just that. Amazing and friendly staff, always there when you need them. Has everything you need while you’re there. The views from the place are stunning. Very peaceful while getting a few firework shows a night. Overall couldn’t have been better. If you like to walk it’s very doable, if not the ubers responded within minutes. Susan goes above and beyond with details and is very responsive throughout your stay.Posted on Tripadvisor

We were met with suggestions for food and activities and the location was gorgeous, but the host went above and beyond when I fell and broke my arm. Greg S1 April 2026Charming Old World Vibe You couldn't ask for a more authentic place to stay than Casa de los Arcos to capture the old world charm of Puerto Vallarta. The accommodations and the amenities are more than adequate, especially if you are appreciative of the classic materials and textures of Old Mexico. I last stayed in the Casita and pretty much had the run of the whole villa to myself which is exactly why I chose to stay here again. The hosts, Susan and David are kind, attentive and eager to please. I especially appreciated the offer to have my fridge stocked with my requested groceries, the welcome flowers, salsa, guac., chips and of course the margaritas!--a very nice and unexpected touch. Filipa and Ismael kept my Casita stocked with everything, made the bed daily and even washed the dishes! The location of Casa de los Arcos, high up a steep hill, provides magnificent views of the whole of PV. It does require some determination if you choose to walk, but I mastered it relatively well (I'm in my late 60's) and it seemed to get easier to navigate each time I went out on foot, but Uber and Didi were quickly there when summoned! The noise from the beach can be a bit intrusive at times but no more so than what you might expect if you live in a city the size of PV. sam.fina22 March 2026Perfect stay! We recently stayed in Villa Casa Palapa for a week and absolutely loved our stay! The unit is beautiful and laid out well to fully enjoy outdoor living. Incredible views from every spot. We were welcomed to Casa de Los Arcos by Susan and David and provided with complimentary guacamole, pico de gallo and margaritas. The staff were wonderful. Felipe even did laundry for us which was so appreciated. The pool was refreshing for a quick dip. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the serenity of the botanical gardens and hot tub area. Susan had our fridge stocked with our grocery order upon arrival, at no cost to us other than the cost of groceries. This was much appreciated. We enjoyed chatting with Susan and David and were provided with recommendations on nearby restaurants and activities. Susan pointed out two different staircases to take down the hill, and either one was a 10 minute walk down. Getting back up was good exercise, or a quick, very affordable Uber ride. We have been traveling to PV for the past 20 years. Now that we have stayed at Casa de Los Arcos it will be hard to stay anywhere else. We can’t wait to return!Posted on Tripadvisor
Eric2275419 March 2026Perfect spot overlooking Puerto Vallarta My wife and I love Casa de los Arcos. We've stayed there every year since 2019 with the only exception being when we couldn't travel during the pandemic. What started as a 2-week stay has evolved to a 5-6 week stay. Puerto Vallarta is lovely. Weather is perfect. Casa de los Arcos is a wonderful, quiet oasis. Each of the different Casas is unique and comfortable. Only one two-bedroom unit which underscores this a spot for couples - usually older - as opposed to a spot for families with young children. It's beautifully situated in the hills overlooking the Romantic Zone which is the heart of "old Puerto Vallarta". Great views. Nice breezes at night. Best of all, Susan & David are great hosts. We're just back from 5 weeks in PV and have already booked for 6 weeks next year.Posted on Tripadvisor
A S6 March 2026Beautiful views, peaceful location, and a fantastic host. We loved our stay at Casa de los Arcos. The views overlooking the bay are absolutely stunning, and the serene setting was a perfect retreat after days spent exploring the bustling Zona Romántica and surrounding areas of Puerto Vallarta. The Alta Vista neighborhood is quiet and charming, perched on the hillside above town. We even brought binoculars and were able to spot whales from the property during our visit, which was an unforgettable bonus. A quick tip for future guests: the cobblestone streets and hills are part of the charm, but definitely bring good walking shoes. Uber rides were also plentiful and inexpensive for getting up and down the hill when we didn’t feel like walking. The house itself is very comfortable. The bedroom has an efficient mini-split AC and a strong ceiling fan, so we slept great. The filtered water throughout the house was also a big plus. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance as well. Susan was a wonderful host and had spot-on recommendations for everything we wanted to do. Suresh B28 February 2026Paradise Villa in Puerto Vallarta We recently completed a wonderful two-week stay at Casa De Los Arcos. The units are comfortable and well-appointed with an authentic Mexican charm, the views are spectacular and the villa staff is great. Susan and David are the nicest, most caring hosts we have come across in our many years of Airbnb travel. Along with the other guests on site, we were treated like family members and this was especially re-assuring during the unfortunate but short-lived cartel violence that took place during our stay. What an absolutely stunning place to stay. For our honeymoon, my wife and I returned to Puerto Vallarta where we'd visited eleven years earlier, and this time chose to skip the resort options in favor of something more unique, and could not be happier with Casa de los Arcos for the value, personality, and comfort. Nestled in the hills right above Zona Romantica (a bracing walk or very affordable car-share ride up and down), the place is jaw-dropping from an architectural standpoint, decked out with a small pool for cooling off and a beautiful hillside garden. Our unit was luxe and comfortable, a perfect spot to relax and gaze out at the ocean when we weren't adventuring in town. Also Susan is a terrific host with a wealth of local recommendations that enhanced our stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to treat themselves (affordably) in PV.

AR Moon19 November 2023Gorgeous villa with sweeping views of the bay and city. Susan and David made my stay even more enjoyable with their friendliness and kindness. They have a vast knowledge of PV which made my stay easier. You will be surrounded by lush gardens and the sunsets are second to none! Glad I found this amazing place and hosts and I highly recommend staying here.

Isabelle Duran17 June 2023We had the best stay at Casa de los Arcos! The hosts, David and Susan, are so welcoming! The margarita she made for us our first night was one of the bests I’ve had! The guacamole was also next level! I’ve never had this kind of reception at any accomodation. Truly so personal and special! The views from nearly every room were spectacular! La Casita was truly unreal and I imagine during whale season you could watch them dance all day long. I think La Palapa will be the spot I will request on my next visit! But if it’s two couples of a family, Casa Grande is perfect. The whole place has filtered water so you don’t have to worry about getting sick. Though if you do, Felipa the housekeeper will nurse you back to health! She was kind enough to make me some soup and home remedies when I got sick early on our trip. Museo is perfect for those who don’t want to climb as many stairs 😆 but you really can’t go wrong with any room. Susan knew everyone in town and had great recommendations for every kind of service - from massages to hair stylist. She was kind enough to walk us to the local market and let us know which her favourite restaurants were, pharmacy, electronic store, etc. My partner and I look forward to returning! David, Susan and all their pets now hold a special place in our hearts!!

David (the host) has built his own garden over the years and has high appreciate for plants! I truly fell in love with the environment created and definitely coming back Indoor outdoor living! Check their reviews on all the platforms! This place has been consistently ranked number 1 on trip advisor in category of specialty lodging! Simply the best!

Lucia Schneegans-Puentes20 September 2022If you want the best experience in Oaxaca, go to this hotel. They make you feel as if it was your own home with all the love and care you’d want. They are honest and simply good at what they do. The breakfast was amazing and they even tried a guest who wasn’t even staying there as one of their own. I’ve seen a few other properties in person and this is my favorite as it is everything you want including the values that Oaxaca represents! 🥰Load more
